It’s the business! Toby Perkins MP officially opens warehouse extension at local firm

Franke Sissons, the Chesterfield based washroom facilities business on the Sheepbridge industrial estate, has celebrated the opening of a new warehouse extension which is set to help facilitate its unprecedented growth in overseas markets. Toby Perkins MP, Labour Member of Parliament for Chesterfield, cut the ribbon alongside Managing Director, Andy Dukelow, who has helped steer the firm through the difficult economic climate of recent years amid hopes that the new building will ensure Franke Sissons continues to succeed in an increasingly competitive industry.

Since 2008, Franke Sissons has become one of the most well renowned businesses in Chesterfield, boasting excellent workforce relations with an increased competitiveness in countries such as Australia and Hong Kong. As part of the official opening Mr. Perkins and Mr. Dukelow discussed the importance of manufacturing and engineering based business in Chesterfield and the country as a whole in leading the UK through economic difficulties into a more prosperous future.

As a consequence of the warehouse extension, which now homes various industry-leading equipment and products, the company was able to maintain 7 jobs in Chesterfield when others are left with no choice but to outsource posts to other areas of the UK or abroad. The new ‘Logistics Centre’ includes many new and exciting pieces of equipment leading the way in industries from catering to industrial bathroom appliances.

Before cutting the ribbon at the official opening Mr. Perkins commented:-

“I am delighted to be opening such a magnificent extension to the Franke Sissons warehouse, one of the major manufacturing hubs of Chesterfield. Andy Dukelow and the staff of Franke Sissons continue to do an outstanding job, providing skilled employment to the people of our town and competing on the world stage in almost all areas of the globe.

He added:-

“I believe that businesses like Franke Sissons are the future of our economy, driving the UK manufacturing and engineering industries forward in an increasingly difficult climate. With such a determined and courageous approach to what are very difficult times for many businesses in our area, I am pleased to announce the new Logistics Centre at Franke Sissons officially open and wish them all the best for the future”.
