Yum Yums serves up a treat in Staveley

Toby Perkins with Kerry of Yum Yums in StaveleyChesterfield MP Toby Perkins gave his seal of approval to a brand new eatery in Staveley after calling in for a cup of tea and a chat with owner Kerry Cox.

First time business owner Kerry set up Yum Yums on Chesterfield Road six weeks ago with the help and support of the Princes Trust. Young entrepreneur Kerry reports that business is going well so far and said “I didn’t think the Princes Trust provided support for people like me. The best thing is that they don’t just help you start, but support you for two years afterwards with questions and advice”.

Toby Perkins MP said: “I’m always eager to meet new business owners and I’m really impressed by Kerry’s enthusiasm and passion to start her own cafe. Small businesses are the engine room of the UK economy; Kerry’s business is a welcome addition both to Staveley and the economy more widely.”

After the visit Kerry said: “I’m really excited to be starting a new business in Staveley and it’s great to have Toby’s support. I’m glad that Chesterfield has an MP who supports local businesses.”
