Chesterfield MP Toby Perkins has given his support to the ‘Don’t Face it Alone’ anti-bullying campaign.

On the 22nd of June, the Diana Award is running the ‘Don’t Face it Alone’ anti-bullying campaign – emphasising that nobody should have to face bullying alone, and signposting victims of bullying towards support and helpful resources.

Thousands of young people experience bullying behaviours every day. They often don’t speak out about it because they are scared of what might happen or they are unsure about who to tell or how to report it online. The campaign wants to change this by showing young people that they deserve to be heard and that help and support is available.

Toby said “Bullying is completely unacceptable, whether online or face-to-face. Nobody, especially children, should have to face it alone. I’m urging children, parents, and schools across our community to speak out about bullying.

This campaign is run by charity The Diana Award, a legacy to Princess Diana’s belief that young people have power to change the world.
