I would like to extend my condolences to the family of HM Queen Elizabeth II personally & on behalf of all the people of Chesterfield who will mourn her passing.
It seems unimaginable that she is gone after a lifetime of unstinting service to the nation.
She was respected the world over and loved by the British people. Her passing will leave a huge chasm in our public life.
I hope that all her family can take comfort at this painful time in the affection that she generates from across our country and throughout the world.
