Chesterfield MP Toby, who serves as Shadow Minister for Further Education & Skills, met the team at Work Avenue in Finchley and discussed their work in their local area.

Work Avenue, established sixteen years ago, is an employment and business charity, operating in London’s Jewish community. It was set up with the aim of supporting people into employment through commercial skills, workplace training, networking opportunities and work placement support.

Toby visited the Wohl Enterprise Hub in Finchley which was created in 2015. The Hub encompasses 6,500 square feet of fixed desking, hot-desking, break-out pods, private offices, meeting and conference rooms and a cafe.

Whilst there, Toby took a tour of the Hub and met several small business-people present, discussing their experiences of working within the Hub and accessing the services on offer.

He also met the CEO and other team members, asking them about their work and the work of the charity.

Toby stated “Work Avenue has a well-deserved and well-established reputation in the local community for supporting both businesses and people seeking work. It was wonderful to meet the team, see the charity’s work in action and hear about their plans for the future”.
