Chesterfield MP, Toby Perkins, has welcomed the launch of Rainbow Spirites, a new group created to provide a safe space for Chesterfield FC supporters that are members of the LGBTQIA+ Community.

Toby said, “I congratulate the Rainbow Spireites on their formation and hope it will give even greater confidence to LGBT supporters to back the Spireites. It is great to hear that the Club has been very supportive of the group’s launch and their aims.

It’s important that the Club and supporters are working together to ensure members of the LGBTQIA+ Community feel safe to attend games, engage with online fan forums and be a part of the fantastic fanbase we have here in Chesterfield.

I want to offer my full support to the Rainbow Spireites and look forward to working with them.”
