The Government say they don’t want to reward bad business practices but many of these businesses could not get flood insurance because of the history of flooding.

So, I am here at the First Stage Business Park on Brimington Road North. Many businesses down here were flooded during the recent floods and have now been told that they’re not even eligible for the very small grant the Government are providing because, according to the Government, they don’t want to reward bad business practices. Many of these businesses weren’t able to get flood insurance because of the flood history in the past and I am here because ITV Calendar will be speaking to some of these businesses today.
