Toby recently visited Greenpeace’s Ratify Global Ocean’s Treaty drop in event to learn more about the need to create sanctuaries to protect our oceans from destructive industrial fishing practices.

Using VR to see a 360° view of Arctic areas that need protection and speaking to experts on which areas of the ocean need sanctuaries to be created.

The government has delayed ratifying the Global Ocean Treaty until after the election which means the UK is very likely to fall behind our allies in signing this momentous agreement into law.

Once enforced, this UN agreement has the power to create a vast network of ocean sanctuaries in the high seas and is our only roadmap to meeting the 30×30 goal of protecting 30% of the world’s ocean by 2030.

Toby is happy to lend his support to this important campaign.
