Toby Perkins MP Standing up for Chesterfield and Staveley
I have recently been contacted by the travel company TUI about a fantastic new, free, virtual work experience opportunity – a programme that is being offered in collaboration with careers platform Springpod.
This programme offers young people a chance to learn from TUI professionals in a virtual way from the comfort of their own homes. It is made up of six modules, which are designed to help participants gain a better understanding of the travel industry – from customer service to marketing & operations. This course also supports accessibility because it is not timed and students can complete it at their own pace. Participants will learn through a combination of interactive activities, webinars and projects.
TUI’s programme is open to all young people aged 14+ and once completed, students will receive a certificate of completion.

I would encourage any student who is thinking about a future in travel and tourism to take part in this and make the most of this opportunity. I have written to all secondary schools in Chesterfield to make them aware of this opportunity.
