It was another busy week both in Parliament and up in Chesterfield.

Here is my snapshot of last week.

Trannscript

So, it’s been a busy week here in Parliament and back in the constituency. Here’s a quick review of some of the things i have been up to.

On Saturday I met with young members from across the East Midlands of the Unison trade union to talk about the current political scene. I also attended a reverse Select Committee where select committee Chairs responded to questions from members of the public wanting to understand better about how policy is made.

I attended a round table, hosted by AXA insurance company to introduce some research they’d done on flooding impacts across the country. I visited Outwood School in Newbold to talk to them about their excellent recent results and the changes they’re making to be more supportive of children with special needs.

I also guested on the Department for Environment Select Committee quizzing water company bosses on their latest performance and I went to Hollingwood Primary School to discuss special needs provision and the extra support  they’re offering to students with special needs.

and I held my regular surgery, as I do every week, meeting people in person and online. So, if you think we can be of any assistance to you, please do get in touch.

So, thanks for watching this review of the week and I look forward to seeing you again next week.
