So, back in Parliament this week but last week was recess week. I had an opportunity to spend the time back in Chesterfield. Here’s what I got up to.

As Chair of the All-Party Group on Apprenticeships I attended DHL’s National Apprenticeship Week event to see the work they’re doing to promote apprenticeships across the business.

I also had the pleasure of attending a special event to celebrate the awarding of an MBE to Lisa Haythorne from Derbyshire Law Centre.

I went along to Auto Windscreens. One of Chesterfield’s biggest employers to see the apprenticeship work they’re doing to bring new people into apprenticeships right across the country.

I took the opportunity to get out and meet voters in Brampton as part of our all-year round listening to Chesterfield programme and I got along to Afat’s Grill, Chesterfield’s entrant in the prestigious National, British Kebab Awards and good luck to them in the finals this week.

I went along to meet a commercial energy provider Alphagen who have decided to have their headquarters in Chesterfield and I went to meet the Landlords of Ye Royal Oak, Chesterfield’s oldest pub which is in the process of getting set up ready to welcome customers once again.

So, that was my busy week back in Chesterfield and thanks very much for watching.
